A set of definitive, special or commemorative stamps that has not been cancelled with a postmark.

Stamp Sheet

Stamp sheet is one sheet of stamps of the same denomination, usually with a total of 25 stamps in each pane. Stamp sheets are available for each denomination issued. The selvedges of each pane are normally printed with a module number and a barcode.

Mini-Stamp Sheet

Mini-Stamp Sheet is one sheet of stamps of the same denomination, with a total of 4 stamps in each pane. The selvedges of each pane are printed with a module number, a barcode, colour control indicators, a plate number, a “Hongkong Post” logo and a “Brand Hong Kong” logo.

Souvenir Sheet

A souvenir sheet comprising a full set of special or commemorative stamps.

Stamp Sheetlet

A miniature sheet bearing one or more stamps. For stamp sheetlets incorporated in a new stamp issue, the stamp complements the stamp theme but is of a different design to the set of mint stamps.

A booklet with stamps in the same or different denominations, printed with related information of the stamp theme.

Presentation Pack

A prestigious folder containing a set of definitive/commemorative/special mint stamps/souvenir sheet and/or stamp sheetlet. Each pack bears a special design matching the specific theme of the enclosed stamp products.

Official First Day Cover/Lunar New Year Animals Official Souvenir Cover

An envelope bearing the theme of the definitive, commemorative or special stamps issue, to which a set of definitive, commemorative or special stamps, a souvenir sheet or stamp sheetlet can be affixed. An Official First Day Cover/Lunar New Year Animals Official Souvenir Cover can be cancelled with the postmark on the date of issue.

Official Souvenir Cover

An envelope having the design resemble the theme of the stamp products issuing plan, to which a set of definitive, commemorative or special stamps, a souvenir sheet or stamp sheetlet can be affixed.

Special Souvenir Cover

A Special Souvenir Cover commemorates a special event. The postmark for cancellation or cachet to be applied will be announced close to the date of issue.

Postage Prepaid Picture Card/Postage Prepaid Postcard

Similar to a postcard except that its postage is prepaid, this card bears a design related to the stamp theme or a theme on a special subject.

Postcard/Maximum Card

The design of Postcard is different from the Postage Prepaid Picture Card and does not bear the postage insignia. The Maximum Card is affixed with a stamp of the relevant subject on the picture side of the postcard and is cancelled with a postmark.

Cachet

A cachet is a chop which is specially designed to commemorate or promote a special event or exhibition. It will usually include the date or period of the event.
