“Christmas Stamps V” Special Stamps

Christmas is a season filled with joy, warmth and blessings.  As a city embracing both Chinese and Western cultures, Hong Kong showcases a lively festive ambience throughout Christmas.  Since 2002, Hongkong Post has released Christmas stamps four times.  This year, featuring the dazzling nightscape of Victoria Harbour as the backdrop, the stamp set incorporates festive elements to demonstrate Hong Kong's unique metropolitan Christmas atmosphere.  What's more, the designer has included hidden surprises in the miniatures using invisible fluorescent ink, waiting to be revealed under ultraviolet light.

As stars light up the sky over Victoria Harbour, the magic of Christmas secretly unfolds.  Following the release of Christmas stamps in 2002, 2007, 2014 and 2020, Hongkong Post once again releases a new set on this classic theme, which features the dazzling nightscape of Victoria Harbour as the backdrop and incorporates festive elements to demonstrate Hong Kong's unique metropolitan Christmas atmosphere.

A set of four stamps, each depicting Victoria Harbour under the night sky.  A bright moon lights the way for Santa Claus as he weaves between the lights and shadows of skyscrapers and a sparkling Christmas tree in his reindeer sleigh.  The shimmering water mirrors the vibrant festive lighting along the shore of Victoria Harbour.  What's more, the designer has included hidden surprises in the miniatures using invisible fluorescent ink, waiting to be revealed under ultraviolet light.

$2.2 Stamp – A drone formation creates a Christmas bell, a snowman, a Christmas stocking and other classic patterns up in the night sky, while a ferry glides leisurely across Victoria Harbour, carrying with countless festive blessings.

$4 Stamp – Silvery moonlight cascades over Victoria Harbour, as Santa Claus streaks across the night sky in his reindeer sleigh like a shooting star, adding a dreamy, poetic charm to the nightscape of the city.

$5.4 Stamp – A giant Christmas tree stands tall by the waterfront, its lights shimmering with the waves.  Reflections ripple on the water like festive melodies, resonating throughout the harbour and filling it with warmth and wonder.

$5.5 Stamp – The words "MERRY CHRISTMAS" light up the night sky with blessings, while a traditional red-sail junk boat gently glides across Victoria Harbour, bringing festive goodwill and wishes to the world.

Official first day covers will be put on sale at $2.5 each at all post offices from 11 November 2025. Advance orders for servicing self-provided covers will be accepted at all philatelic offices from 11 to 17 November 2025.

Stamp products include mint stamps, stamp sheets, souvenir sheet, self-adhesive souvenir sheet, presentation pack, postage prepaid Christmas cards (air mail) and serviced first day cover. Serviced first day cover will be available at all philatelic offices only.

Date-stamping Arrangements

• A hand-back date-stamping service with the office date-stamp and the special postmarks will be provided on 25 November 2025 at all post offices for official first day covers/souvenir covers/privately made covers bearing the first day of issue indication and a local address. All philatelic offices will also provide “Philatelic Bureau” pictorial postmark and its respective philatelic office pictorial postmark. The GPO-1 date-stamp impression will only be available at the General Post Office.

• All stamp products will be available at all post offices starting from 25 November 2025 for 3 months while stock lasts.

• All stamp products will be available at Hongkong Post’s online shopping platform ShopThruPost (website: shopthrupost.hongkongpost.hk) starting from 25 November 2025 at 8:00 a.m. for 6 months, while stock lasts.
