Hongkong Post is pleased to present the “Year of the Tiger” special stamps - the eleventh issue in the fourth Lunar New Year special stamp series. This issue features a set of four stamps and a stamp sheetlet showing the Tiger in different handicrafts, heralding the Year of the Tiger full of blessing and happiness. In addition, a stamp sheetlet and a silk stamp sheetlet will be released to celebrate the start of a new year, wishing a robust Year of the Tiger.

2Gold and Silver Stamp Sheetlet on Lunar New Year Animals – Ox/Tiger

Bidding adieu to the Year of the Ox and ringing in the Year of the Tiger, the Ox and the Tiger are paired together to celebrate the new year. The stamp sheetlet features a Year of the Ox stamp finished with silver hot foil stamping and a Year of the Tiger stamp in 22K gold plating. Accompanied with a certificate of authenticity, it is ideal both as a gift and for private collection.

3XXIV Olympic Winter Games Beijing 2022

The XXIV Olympic Winter Games will be held in Beijing from 4 to 20 February 2022. This is the first time for China to host the Winter Games. Beijing, as one of the host cities, will be the first city in the world to have hosted both the Summer and Winter Games. To continue the spread of Olympic fever, Hongkong Post issues a set of four stamps under the theme “XXIV Olympic Winter Games Beijing 2022", featuring various sport events.

4Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Development

The Central Government announced the Outline Development Plan for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area in 2019, providing a direction guiding the development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. The development of the Greater Bay Area brings new opportunities for Hong Kong, enabling Hong Kong to enjoy brighter development prospects amid its integration into the overall development of the country. Hongkong Post will issue a set of eleven stamps on “Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Development” with a face value of $2 each, showing the two Special Administrative Regions and nine cities in the Greater Bay Area respectively.

5China’s Aerospace Development

Aerospace is one of the most challenging areas in high technology industry. Since 2016, the 24th of April was designated as the Space Day of China, activities related to aerospace will be held every year. With the theme “China’s Aerospace Development”, Hongkong Post will issue a stamp sheetlet containing two $10 stamps. The oval stamp sheetlet illustrates the milestones of China’s Aerospace Development since the 1970s.

6Local Snacks in Hong Kong II

The most authentic manifestation of Hong Kong’s local food culture must be our wide range of local snacks. In 2021, Hongkong Post issued the “Local Snacks in Hong Kong” special stamps which was well-received by the public. Hence, Hongkong Post will issue a set of six stamps and a stamp sheetlet themed on “Local Snacks in Hong Kong II” in 2022, bringing back more classic snacks including siu mai, egg tart, fish and lettuce soup, Hong Kong waffle, dragon’s beard candy, sachima and black sesame roll, enabling everyone to recall our collective memories.

7Hong Kong Palace Museum

Located at the western tip of the West Kowloon Cultural District, the Hong Kong Palace Museum is scheduled to open in mid-2022. Embracing new curatorial approaches, the Museum will offer a Hong Kong perspective and a global vision, presenting the finest objects from the Palace Museum and other leading cultural institutions around the world. Hongkong Post will issue a set of six stamps and two stamp sheetlets on the theme of “Hong Kong Palace Museum”, showcasing the precious collections from the Palace Museum.
