1The 25th Anniversary of the Establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region

The People’s Republic of China resumed the exercise of sovereignty over Hong Kong with effect from 1 July 1997 and established the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR). To commemorate the 25th Anniversary of the establishment of the HKSAR in 2022, Hongkong Post will issue a set of commemorative stamps in four denominations, a souvenir sheet and other philatelic products.

2The 25th Anniversary of the Stationing of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army in Hong Kong

The Chinese People's Liberation Army Hong Kong Garrison (the Hong Kong Garrison) is stationed by the Central People's Government in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) for defence duties. Since its stationing in the HKSAR on 1 July 1997, the Hong Kong Garrison has upheld the principle of "one country, two systems", the Basic Law, the Law of the People’s Republic of China on the Garrisoning of the HKSAR and the National Security Law and fulfilled the responsibility to safeguard national sovereignty, security and development interests, providing the foundation for the prosperity and stability of Hong Kong. In 2017, a stamp sheetlet was issued to celebrate the stationing of the Hong Kong Garrison in Hong Kong for 20 years. This year, Hongkong Post will issue a stamp sheetlet on the theme of "The 25th Anniversary of the Stationing of the Chinese People's Liberation Army in Hong Kong" to mark this special occasion.

3Fruits

Fruits are edible products of seed plants. They are rich in nutrition, good for health, bright in colour and sweet in taste, which are good for people of all ages. The common fruits grown in Hong Kong include orange, watermelon, guava, lychee, banana, papaya, etc. Hongkong Post issue a set of stamps in six denominations, a stamp sheetlet and other philatelic products on the theme of “Fruits”.

4Intangible Cultural Heritage - Hong Kong Cheongsam Making Technique

The Hong Kong cheongsam making technique was inscribed onto the First Intangible Cultural Heritage Inventory of Hong Kong and the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Hong Kong in 2014 and 2017 respectively. It was further inscribed onto the Fifth National List of Intangible Cultural Heritage in 2021. Cheongsam has a long history. Men's cheongsam is socially significant, as it symbolises seniority amongst clansmen in the New Territories. When women's cheongsam became popular in Hong Kong, its sewing technique took up both Eastern and Western costume designs, resulting in the uniqueness in the Hong Kong cheongsam making technique. Hongkong Post will issue special stamps on the theme of “Hong Kong Cheongsam Making Technique” to exhibit the outstanding historical and cultural value of this craftsmanship.

5Dinosaurs

Hongkong Post will issue a set of stamps in six denominations, a stamp sheetlet and other philatelic products on the theme of “Dinosaurs”, featuring several species of dinosaurs from the Jurassic and Cretaceous eras such as Triceratops, Allosaurus, Tyrannosaurus, etc. to explore the mystery of these prehistoric species with members of the public.

Miss 13 Dots is a comic created by the late Ms. Lee Wai-chun. It was a renowned girls’ comic not only well known in Hong Kong, but was published in Southeast Asia as well. Miss 13 Dots, the heroine, is an independent, avant-garde and trendy girl with a strong sense of fashion, rendering the comic phenomenal. As one of the local classic comics, Miss 13 Dots is still being recounted with relish.
